The
Cherryland Humane Society is vastly expanding its programs
to attain levels of service never before experienced. The
focus will be to bring resolution to the many problems pets
face today. Fundamental to that effort is the new CHS Shelter
and Adoption and Humane Education and Conference Center. We
opened the doors to the new facility on July 23, 2002. Already,
the new facility has provided many new opportunities for service.
View a floor plan of our new facility and a list of rooms with needed funding levels
here.
We
are conducting an ongoing capital fund raising campaign to
help pay for the new facility. We are tremendously grateful
to the many individuals who have donated to the CHS Building
Fund. Entire rooms in the new facility have been provided
by some very generous donors. There is much more to be done,
however.
Your
contribution can make a lasting difference
as we diligently endeavor to enhance the quality of life for
all pets, end the very serious pet overpopulation problem,
resolve the problems of animal abuse and neglect, strengthen
the human/animal bond, promote the importance of pets to mankind,
teach life lessons that pets have to offer, and find responsible,
humane homes for all homeless pets. Each donor will be perpetually
recognized with a nameplate placed on a donation board according
to giving levels, displayed permanently in the lobby of the
new facility. Those donating entire rooms will not only have
such nameplates, but also will have a plaque with their name
and picture placed at the entrance to the room named for them.
Your
CHS Building Fund Donation can be made
online. You may also wish to consider a gift of personal
property. Please call Mike Cherry at 231-946-5116 for additional
information or literature. We will also be pleased to schedule
a personal meeting if you so desire. Please accept our heartfelt
appreciation in advance of your help.
